On National Poetry Day last October, Amol Rajan, the well-known journalist and television/radio presenter, called out for poems we’ve learnt to recite from memory. Perhaps reciting one of your own poems is cheating but I sent him this video which he shared on Instagram - so far it’s had nearly 7500 views!
Both quite old poems: Green Man in Rocombe - a sonnet from my book Shaking the Persimmon Tree, and Fall - a real oldie and so far unpublished as far as I can recall.
